The prevalence of osteopathy is high in epileptic patients under long-term treatment with "classic iantiepileptic drugs" - in more tham of such patients the values of bone material density (BMD) are abnormal. The data concerning "novel antiepileptic drugs" are scanty.

This article aims to provide neurological and osteological healthcare professionals with a review of the problems, and initiate discussio to propose measures suitable for implementation into clinical practice.
