Abstract

The article is focused on the analysis of critical places in teaching mathematics at elementary school from the motivation point of view. The results of the research are based mostly on in-depth interviews with mathematics teachers.

The article analyses pupils’ approaches to mathematics, pupils’ fear in mathematics, target orientation of pupils, captivation of pupils in task situation, pupils’ willingness to think.
