The CEP (Centrální evidence projektů – The Central Register of R&D Projects) is one of the components of the national Research & Development & Innovation Information System (IS VaVaI) in the Czech Republic. We present this component - we describe the scope of the data collected, the update regimes, and the links to other information.
We demonstrate that the CEP is an important source of information about Czech research, development, and innovation. We use it for analyses of financial transfers and capacities in the research, development and innovation domain.
We also explore the regional aspect of targeted research funding in the Czech Republic. We describe that the CEP can be used to evaluate certain scientometric indicators.
