Abstract
The chapter consists of two parts: 1) The review part; it is focused on pain specifics in children, assessment of pain in children, factors affecting children's pain. Specifics of acute, chronic, recurrent, and procedural pain are discussed.
Characteristics of both pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatment are described. 2) Special part; it deals with ethiology, assessment, and treatment; it covers chest pain, headaches, musculoskeletal pain, neonate pain. Discussion about postoperative pain and prevention in children is included.
