Abstract
Interdisciplinary conference hosted by the Faculty of Arts, Charles University in Prague, on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of death of the outstanding Czech philologist and university teacher prof. Alexandr Stich.
Thematically it was devoted first to the commemoration of A. Stich and the assessment of his scientific activities, and second to selected issues and present state of knowledge in the disciplines to which A.
Stich dedicated himself and which he helped to form. The speakers were the disciples of A.
Stich, both from the Czech Republic and from abroad, working today in diverse institutions and scientific disciplines.
