Abstract
Numerous studies have been written about the periodontal pathogens and their incidence outside oral cavity while their focus often emphasized the detection of the patogens´ DNA in the tissues of remote organs. Our lecture is not only concemed with the detection of DNA ibut it also aims for possible correlation between the periodontal parhogens and the pathological changes in the walls of large blood wessels and heart valves
