Abstract
Myocarditis is an inflammatory disease of the heart muscle, which has a number of infectious and non-infectious causes. Viral infection is the most common cause of myocardial inflammation.
Dilated cardiomyopathy resulting in connection with myocarditis is called inflammatory cardiomyopathy.
