Abstract

The study treats the form and importance of medieval architecture of mendicant orders in Silesia with the focus on orders of the Minorites, Clarissians and Dominicans. We mention preserved mendicant buildings on the territory of historical Silesia.

The study emphasizes the function of these architectures as family burial sites of the Piast dynasty and the broader social historical context of these buildings.
