Design of the objectives of laboratory activities for the acquisition of scientific literacy through experiments in real time: opinions of students

Abstract

The study is focused on testing of newly developed worksheets for experiments where MBL (microcomputer based laboratory) and sensors are used and on evaluation of students attitudes and opinions on the worksheets (and their design) and experimenting with MBL and sensors. The testing has been made in groups of students from various countries (Spain, Slovakia, Czech Republic, ...).

The results shown that students have successfully implemented various activities and they were able to correctly list the objectives of the activities and fulfill the task of the activities. The students also considered the experiments as motivating and mostly expressed that the sensors used in activities have helped them to interpret the results of the experiments.
