Experimental Study of OH– + D2 → OD– + HD Reaction at Low Temperatures

Abstract

In the article the first results of the rate coefficient of OH– reaction with D2 measurement at low temperatures are given. The rate coefficient was determined from the decays of number of OH– ions in time, it did not have strong temperature dependence in the range 11–56 K and was equal to (5.5 ± 1)·10–10 cm3s–1.

The reaction is binary that can be seen from the linear dependence of the rate of the reaction on the number density of D2.
