Abstract
Migration preferences and migration behaviour of population has been changing in the Czech Republic during the last two decennia. The contribution brings evidence of migration balance during the last two decennia (1992-2010) with special attention to the smallest municipalities.
The paper raises the question, whether the contemporary gains of very small municipalities correspond with diffusion of suburbanisation or rather rural areas gain more.
