Abstract
The second edition of this monography covers very important topic of prevention and treatment of venous thrombembolism, including deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism. The topic of antithrombotic treatment in atrial fibrillation for prevention of embolism is included as well.
The role and management of treatment with new direct oral anticoagulants are stressed.
