Abstract
Extrinsic allergic alveolitis /hypersensitivity pneumonitis / is a diffuse granulomatous inflammation of the lung and airmys in people who have been sensitised by repeated inhalation of organic antigens in dusts. Early recognition and control of exposure is key to outcome.
