Abstract
Comment on the article Prolonged treatment of venous thromboembolism with apixaban - AMPLIFY-EXT study. From the viewpoint of reducing the risk of recurrent VTE is beneficial that another new oral anticoagulant - apixaban (Eliquis) - in a recently published study AMPLIFY-EXT demonstrated that in the secondary prophylaxis of VTE is an effective and simultaneously safe drug.
