Abstract

Osteonecrosis of the jaw is a known complication of the antiresorptive therapy of osteoporosis with incidence rate about 1:100.000 patients/years. More than 8 weeks of exposure of the jawbone is included into definition.

Most cases are connected with the intervention in oral cavity and bad dental hygiene.
