Abstract
This article deals with the application of selected legislative components regarding legal guarantees of appropriate quality of life in the Slovak Republic with the main concern for human rights and rights of the child as significant ingredients ensuring the enhancement of quality of life of the population in the Slovak Republic as a part of the European Union.
