Abstract

In our study, we use three different patient cohort to estimate the incidence of inv(9) in the Czech population. First cohort was created from fetuses (n=855), karyotyped solely because of the advanced maternal age of their mothers - the total incidence of inv(9) was 0.94%.

The second group composed of healthy gamete donors (n=484) with total incidence of inv(9) 1.45%. The last group was created using group of children (n=411) awaiting adoption - where the total incidence was 2.43%.

Therefore we estimate the population incidence of in(9) in the Czech population to be between 1 and 1,5 %.
