This paper brings a short outline of T. G.
Masaryk´s thoughts on religion and tries to describe how these thoughts influenced the theological reflections in the Czechoslovak Hussite Church, especially in the first thirty years of its existence. The ways of reception of Masaryk´s thoughts on religion were very different, except for his analysis of spiritual crisis of a modern human being.
To make a comparison in this study there are selected two important theologists of this church. First of them is Alois Spisar, representative of a group of theologists, who came out from a milieu of a radical catholic modernism, which was inspired by Masaryk´s rational theism.
Second of them is Zdeněk Trtík, who belongs to the cluster of theologists, which initiated the reception of thoughts of a biblical personalism, which was especially familiar with putting Jesus´s person in the middle of approach to God.
