Abstract
For more than 2000 years, Punt appeared in Egyptian written texts as a real political as well as geographical country and served as a source of aromatics, gold, electrum, panther skins and other exotic ware. The location of Punt was long disputed and only latest study situated this famous territory in eastern Sudan and north-eastern Ethiopia.
