Abstrakt
This habiliation thesis consists of a~summary of five papers on use of mixtures in statistical modelling of longitudinal data accompanied by a~general introduction to the field of the mixture models, the models for the analysis of the longitudinal data, and the links between these two areas. The papers upon which this thesis is based either appeared in the journals indexed in first half of the Statistics and Probability section of the 2010 edition of the Journal Citation Report or have been recently submitted for publication.
