Edition of Municipal Rights of the Kingdom of Bohemia by Pavel Kristián of Koldín was a long-expected scholarly event in historical circles as the edition of Josef Jirečka from 1876 was completely out of line with the current findings on the transcription of Czech texts of the middle period. Transcription rules were laid down based on philological analysis and their application elevated the text to the level of a real modern critical edition of European significance.
It will serve the scholarly community, from historians and lawyers to Czech scholars, who are still faced with the task of starting work on a Czech dictionary of the middle period. The notes were therefore prepared with great care to supplement the whole extensive work.
