Abstract
In 1995 Viktor Knapp published an influential article called On Legal Entities (O právnických osobách) in the journal The Lawyer. The aim of my article is to critically analyze Knapp's definition of a legal entity as a certain form of association of people, the problem of legal capacity and connectional characteristics of a legal subject, and his scepticism concerning theories of legal entities and conclusions resulting from his pragmatic explanation of legal entities.
I argue that pragmatic, i.e from the law derived, concept of legal person causes that law is a permanent experiment showing merely blind alleys.
