Abstract
The Chapter „Disorders of lipid and lipoprotein metabolism” submits an overview of classification, structure and nomenclature of lipids, and classification of dyslipidemias. There are described laboratory and clinical features of individual types of primary and secondary disorders of lipoprotein metabolism.
Moreover, there is stated cardiovascular risk factor conception, including assessment of cardiovascular risk. The chapter completes algorithm of lipid, lipoprotein and apolipoproteinù examination in specific applications.
