Abstract
In Czech Republic almost 30% of predicted number of FH patients have been identified and, thus, the country ranks among the most successful ones in detection of familial hypercholesterolemia worldwide. Genetic diagnosis availability as well as nationwide network of specialized centers are prerequisitions for this success.
The article summarizes organzational and medical achievements of the project.
