Abstract
This publication presents the results and fundamental findings of the PIAAC (Programme for the International Assessment of Adult Competencies) from the perspective of the Czech Republic. It is divided into two parts.
The first part presents the results of a previous international comparison in the same way they were named in the international publication of the first results called Survey of Adult Skills (PIAAC), Volume 1 (OECD, 2013). It also adds several detailed descriptive information about the results in the Czech Republic.
The second part is comprised of individual chapters by various authors and it provides a more detailed view on the connections between competences and selected factors in the national context.
