Abstract
The publication is based on the current trends of science education in EU and the conclusions of the international comparisons TIMSS and PISA. It characterizes the changes in the process of science education, focusing on inquiry-based education, and gives a detailed treatment of creation of IBSE-compliant materials for middle schools.
There is an example of specific treatment of the subject Density via the IBSE method at the end of the publication.
