Unusual cause of difficult airway - case report

Abstract

This is a case report of a difficult airway in an otherwise healthy patient with cholecystolithiasis, scheduled for endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography. The difficult airway was not due to bad anatomical conditions, disease or trauma.

It was a rare complication of an endoscopic procedure. Fibreoptic tracheal intubation was the solution.
