Abstrakt
The author provides a personal view of the ethnological city research in Slovakia since its beginnings in the end of the seventies of the 20th century until today. In conclusion he states that „the urban ethnology in Slovakia seems to function in anonymous environment of bigger or smaller towns.
In fact, however, the researchers have been working in well known environments to which they have a personal attitude.
