Abstract
The textbook provides the basic knowledge on infectious diseases arranged by body system, containing their descriptions to create a specific idea of their course, treatment and nursing care. The general part of the book summarizes the intensive care procedures applied to patients with infectious diseases to emphasize specific features of nursing care, hygienic precautions and preventive measurements.
The book is primarily intended to advanced joined master´s studies in intensive care, but the basic information is useful for medical students and physicians with an interest in emergency medicine. A lot of photos facilitates understanding of the text.
