Abstract
This chapter summarises the history and circumstances of formation of the collective monograph entitled Bahriya Oasis: Recent Research into the Past of an Egyptian Oasis prepared for publication by the members of the Czech, French, and Italian teams engaged in exploration of the Bahriya Oasis and the Western Desert of Egypt.
