Abstract

Oxidative stress marker - spec ific malondialdehyde - thiobarbituric acid complex was significantly lower in sera and liver of B16- and S91-melanoma bearing mice compared to controls. Significantly higher concentration of vitamin E was found in both melanoma models compared to controls.

The free radical situation in melanoma-bearing animals is different from other tumour models where tumour growth is associated with oxidative stress.
