Abstract
Jiří Baum and František V. Foit travelled by car through Africa in 1931.
They also visited Egypt and spent there nearly month in Cairo studying ancient and islamic culture as well as nature. After arrival they held lectures in many towns in the Czechoslovak Republic to present their travel and work.
Baum and Foit printed a travelogue about their journey and presented many photographs and a film.
