Abstract
The publication presents a new sub-profession in the field of special education, or more precisely, pedagogical-psychological counselling, which is focused on providing advisory services in the schools. It is established in broader context of possible assertion of special pedagogues in our schools and was based on empirical studies and their own analytical work of the team of authors.
They deal with not only with expert care and support of the pupils with special educational needs, but also with support of students with risk of emergent of special educational needs.
