Activities outdoors and in the nature in preschool education

Abstract

The book is dedicated to teachers of kindergartens and other educational staff, possibly parents, who are dedicated to children in pre-school education. Its aim is to introduce the reader to the theory and practice outside the classroom.

The theoretical part deals with the reviewed studies devoted to outdoor teaching preschoolers education based on respect for the place and also the risks of lifestyle changes and alienating nature (eg children with the syndrome of falling, see Bay, 2010). Attention is also paid to child safety, school garden equipment and differentiated activities to free and managed operations.

The following section provides practical instructions teachers to outdoor activities both short and long-term (project "Water" and integrated thematic block "Horses").
