When the patient gives her/his analyst regards from her husband/his wife

Abstract

We propose an analogy between a phenomenon in psychoanalytical process (when the patient multiplies her/his representations of the analyst outside the therapeuticql setting and her/his representations of her husband/his wife inside) and the esthetical structure called mise-en-abyme. This similitude consisting in meta-representations is illustrated on a study of our own cure and on one of the most occurrence of the mise-en-abyme, André Gide´s novel "Counterfeiters".
