Abstract

In epydermolysis bullosa congenita there is a defect of intercellular junctions (which normally hold all cells together) which leads to pain-causing blisters, open wounds and skin defects. New study of American team of authors shows one possibility, how defects in one of the causing genes (COL7A1) can be “repaired”.
