Publication |
2013

Abstract

The publication has three main parts. The first presents analysis and forecasts of the economic development and the skill requirements of the labor market in the Czech Republic in the years 2000-2020.

In this section, attention is focused on the structure (by sectors and occupations) and number of jobs. The second part focuses on the analysis and forecasting of reproduction of the adult population and workforce according to the degree and type of education in the Czech Republic in the years 2000-2020.

The third section compares the results of the previous two parts. It shows the current, but also future mismatches on the labor market between supply side (economically active population) and demand side (jobs).

The final part of the chapter focuses on comparing the number and structure (by field) of people with tertiary education and the jobs that require tertiary educated persons.
