Abstract

This paper reflects on methodologies of four research models used in art education and museum/gallery education. The author describes methodology of action research (Elliot, Mason, Moura, Gitlin), the notion of reflective practitioner and methods of reflection on teaching processes (Fulková's modification of Schön's reflective 3 stage model) and the practice-based research in art enad design known as art-led research (Sullivan) and artography (Irwin).

Highlights from forthcoming book on gallery and museum education edited by the author will be presented. The publication is funded by Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, NAKI DF11P01OVV025.
