Abstract
The article deals with the structure and content of the planned book which is intended as a theoretical and methodological support of didactics of physics. The effort to improve physics education research in the Czech Republic (especially in Ph.D. doctoral thesis) is one of the main reasons why such a book is created.
In the text, various approaches to work with information resources (first with electronic databases) are discussed. The book will mainly consist of the following parts: inclusion of didactics of physics in the system of other disciplines, definition of its subject, development of didactics of physics, nature of scientific research (generally and especially in didactics of physics), survey of main research methods used in didactics of physics, its important topics, relevant information resources, and professional profile of main Czech and selected foreign workplaces.
The presented structure and content of the book are not definitive, they will be developed (and probably changed) based on the ongoing research.
