The aim of this recommendation is to minimize the risk to potentially normal pregnancies in the first trimester and disproportionate intervention in relation to pregnancy not known localization. In both cases, the incorrect diagnostic procedure may damage the normal pregnancy, but on the other hand, when an inadequate procedure also endanger the woman's life when unrecognized ectopic pregnancy.
Recommendations presented here reflect the current views on the diagnosis and management of complications in early pregnancy to improve the care of the patient.
