From the roots to the trees: A story of annotated corpora of Czech

Abstract

Academic corpus of the Czech language created in the Institute of Czech Language belongs to the first annotated corpora of natural languages ever in existence. This activity was one of the stimuli for the development of the richly annotated corpus of the Prague Dependency Treebank.
