The aim of the present study is to provide normative profile H: Q ratio of isokinetic strength in young elite soccer players. The sample was composed of elite youth soccer players U16 category (n = 134).

Weight ratio of H: Q was determined using an isokinetic dynamometer Cybex Humac Norm. Activity was performed during concentric muscle contractions at an angular speed of 60 °. s -1.

Percentile scale was used to test the variable expression standards. Parametric t-test for dependent samples was used to compare the ratio of H: Q between limbs.

The average level of H: Q ratio in the dominant limb was 58.96 ± 7.88% and non-dominant limb 57.19 ± 7.91% (t133 = 2.372, p <0,05). Quartile values of H: Q for the dominant limb were: P25 = 53.00; 59.00 = P50, P75 = 64.00 and non-dominant leg: P25 = 51.75; 57.00 = P50, P75 = 63.00.

Of the n = 134 players on the dominant limb 9 players (6.7%) and non-dominant limb up to 16 players (11.9%) has a critical value due to possible injury or knee, hamstrings. Results of the study are to: a) portfolio performance relative to the comparation of the normative value, b) document the lack of functionally - muscle readiness elite young players to be targeted to improve or training compensation.
