BODY COMPOSITION AS A PREDICTOR QUALITY OF LIFE IN TERMS OF ONTOGENESE AND GENDERS IN PUBESCENTS

Abstract

The paper deals about body composition in pubescent population (n = 163, boys = 90, girls = 73, age = 14, 15 and 16 year) as a predictor of quality of life. The aim is to point to the same quality of body composition in the normal population as pubescent predisposition toward physical activity, which has resulted in the absence of overweight to obesity in adulthood.

For the identification of body composition was used multifrequency bioimpedance analysis BIA 2000. The obtained data demonstrated fat free mass representation (boys: 44.8 ± 8.7 kg 14 year, 47.9 ± 11.3 kg 15 year, 53.1 ± 8.6 kg 16 year; girls: 40.6 ± 6.3 14 kg per year, 40.6 ± 6.3 15 every year, and 44.6 ± 5.3 16 a year) and the fat mass (boys: 16.6 ± 5.5%, 14 year, 14.3 ± 6.3% 15 year, 15.5 ± 6.0% 16 yea; girls: 20.0 ± 6.9%, 14 year, 22.3 ± 6.8 % 15 year, 22.5 ± 2.3% 16 year) in accordance with stories recommended values in all studied groups.

Significance difference in fat free mass is successfully proved in all studied groups (p 0.05). When comparation and interpretation of the data is necessary to allow the use of a methodology for the identification of body composition.

In conclusion, the authors recommend to the physical activity as one of the options affecting the quality of body composition and elimination of overweight and obesity in adulthood.
