Abstract
The author describes the activity of Eduard Štorch as a teacher on Czech minority schools at the very beginning of 20th century in brown coal district of Most (Brüx) in Northern Bohemia. It deals with Štorch's observation of local social and cultural situation and their impacts on children's attitude to school, society etc.
