InterText editor is a native multiplatform personal application for alignment and correction of parallel texts for parallel corpora or translational databases. It can cooperate with the server editon called InterText web (server) as a remote editor (download, upload and synchronization of alignments is possible).
It supports custom XML documents and the Unicode encoding UTF-8, and produces stand-off alignment in TEI XML format. In addition it can import and process plain text files or new-line aligned parallel texts and integrates a fully configurable rule-based sentence splitter.
It can keep consistence of several alignments of the same text (even with texts from the InterText server, if connection is available), generate direct alignments from indirect ones and export aligned texts in several (fully customizable) formats such as ParaConc, new-line aligned texts or TMX (for translational databases and CAT tools generally). It utilizes the automatic aligner Hunalign.
