Abstract
Addictology is a transdisciplinary scientific discipline that focuses on prevention, treatment and research of substance abuse and other forms of addictive behavior. It connects not only knowledge from medicine, psychology, sociology and social work, as well as economics, law, criminology, education, political science, religious studies, and cultural and social anthropology.
Publications learn to understand psychotherapy and individual approaches and apply them in specific applications in addictology. This differs substantially from other psychotherapeutic titles that are available on the market.
Compared collective monographs uses a unifying view of copyright, underpinned by decades of experience. It complements the basic book collection in the field to meet the needs of students, graduates and all those in it must operate for many years.
Publication has 527 pages and 36 chapters, divided into four parts, the two first being based on the original author´s research. The list of literature contains 280 items.
Due a technical misunderstanding an English summary was not included, which will be retrieved by issuing Errata. The book has been reviewed e.a. by an eminent Czech expert prof.
