Abstract
The author deals with the history of the Institute of Czech Studies, which was established at the Faculty of Arts of Charles University in Prague 1st February 1978. The Institute is an educational and research that deals with the description and teaching Czech for foreigners.
Institute of Czech Studies provides teaching Czech for foreigners in bachelor and master study and prepare Summer School of Slavonic Studies.
