Abstract
Three educational programmes offered by the Museum of Decorative Art in Prague, the National Gallery in Prague and the State Castle and Chateaux Bečov enriched the quality of studies delivered by the Department of History and History Didactics at the Faculty of Education at the Charles University in Prague. An article illustrates how the programmes based on principles of so called “education through heritage” (Copeland 2006) were implemented in both compulsory and optional courses as well as the programme of the University of the Third Age.
