Abstract
The article addresses various issues concerning comparative reconstruction, highlighting mental procedure and manipulation with both the data and the basic concept of sound law that lead to ignoring possible explanations. By way of demonstration of these, the ruki ruile, the Grimm's law and various other sound laws are re-examined.
