The beginnings of the Markvartici kin-group and their settlement contexts in the Jizera River region

Abstract

The study looks at the structural changes of settlement in the central Jizera River region (northern Bohemia) during the 13th century. The main focus of the work is on the area surrounding the town of Turnov, which grew into one of the region´s centres of economic aktivity.
